Founded in Paris in 1854 by trunk-maker Louis Vuitton, the house built its name on travel goods before becoming the world's largest luxury maison under LVMH. Its ready-to-wear era began in 1998 with Marc Jacobs, evolving through Nicolas Ghesquière's futuristic womenswear and a landmark menswear lineage from Kim Jones and Virgil Abloh to Pharrell Williams.
